HEALING NATURE
Csokonya Thermal embodies everything that relaxation enthusiasts desire. This little jewel box is located in the heart of Somogy County, on an area of 9.7 hectares, surrounded by nature.
In 1943, as a result of the research carried out by the Hungarian-American Oil Industry Company in Southern Somogy, hot water with a temperature of 76 °C erupted from a depth of 1,800 meters. The healing power of the water, which contains many dissolved minerals, was first channeled into a ditch in 1945, the healing mud was also used, and then filled in pools for the local people to enjoy. The alkaline hydrogen carbonate, weakly iodine and sulfurous thermal water was certified as medicinal water in the early 1990s, and the spa was declared a medical spa in 2005.
Our medicinal water is excellent for musculoskeletal disorders, gynecological, inflammatory and circulatory complaints, and its potency-enhancing effect is also a fact that cannot be ignored. As a drinking cure, it is very useful for the treatment of stomach, intestinal and bile complaints. After using it as a cure, many people have experienced noticeable improvements, and some have experienced complete recovery.

In the spa area, which is spread over more than 9 hectares, every age group will find an attractive service for them: a giant slide, 2 indoor and 2 outdoor pools with medicinal water, uniquely designed adventure and children's pools, a swimming pool with a stretched water surface, a sauna, massage rooms, a bathtub, underwater jet massage, a carbonated bath, and specialist appointments await those interested. Among the guests of the European-famous spa are many domestic guests, but our guests who want to vacation also regularly return from Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. The spa, which is under continuous renovation and modernization, welcomes its guests all year round.

The Sports Choice & Family Day was held on April 21, 2023, where the Csokonyavisonta School, the Barcsi Szivárvány EGYMI, the Barcsi Arany János Elementary School, the Barcsi Deák Ferenc Sports School Elementary School and the Darányi Member School of the Drávamenti District Elementary School participated. There was no bored student on this day, as the children could try out sports such as swimming, water polo, judo, handball, football or archery.
Night Bathing
The Csokonya Thermal Night Bath program series is a great success, and during the program, performers such as Sihell Ferry & Henna, Csabi Bódi or the Voice Party Choir from Csokonyavisonta visit the spa to give concerts.
World Day Events
Csokonya Thermal also considers it important to raise awareness of various world days, which is why it associates programs with several world days. In 2023, among others, World Music Day, World Olympic Day, Semmelweis Day, World Chocolate Day, and World Left-Handers Day were implemented. At these programs, the organizers await those interested with various interactive skill tasks.
